Frequently asked questions

For pet owners

How do I book an appointment?

Search for a vet by area, service or name, choose a day and time, and confirm. The first time, you create an account and confirm your email.

Do I need to pay anything online?

No. Booking through FindMyVet is free. You pay for the visit at the clinic, at the price shown on the vet's page.

My appointment says "Pending". What does that mean?

Some vets approve bookings manually. You'll get an email as soon as it's confirmed. Until then, the time is held for you.

How do I cancel?

Go to "My account" → "My appointments" → "Cancel". The vet is notified right away and the time becomes available to someone else.

Will you remind me about the appointment?

Yes, by email the day before. Also, when the vet records a vaccination with a next-dose date, you get a reminder two weeks before.

Who can see my details?

Only the vet you book with. More in our privacy policy.

Is there a mobile app?

Yes, with nothing to download from an app store. On Android (Chrome), tap “Install app” at the bottom of the page or “Add to Home screen” in the menu. On iPhone (Safari), tap the Share button and then “Add to Home Screen”. FindMyVet will open like a regular app.

For stray animal caretakers

What are stray slots?

Vets set aside some free or low-cost slots for neutering and treating stray animals. Verified caretakers can book them.

How do I become a verified caretaker?

Sign up as a "Stray animal caretaker". We'll get in touch to verify your account. In the meantime you can already register the animals you look after.
